  "Ascension Angel" This award winning, unique work of Intarsia is executed in Jim Stevens' signature style – a fusion of scrimshaw, hand carving and intricate inlays of precious materials. This piece combines mammoth ivory, rare black ebony, and precious diamond. The angel is mammoth ivory, beautifully inlaid into exotic black Ebony from Makassar. The fine shading and detail have been created with ebony, masterfully inlaid into the ivory and combined with scrimshaw highlights and hand carving to create this evocative work of art. The stand is also hand carved black ebony accented by a singular flanking column displaying a mammoth ivory cross with a brilliant 14 point diamond at its center.
