Almost Tossed this in the Trash – Lesson in Forced Persistence

I didn’t get the dimensions right when I started this charcoal drawing. The initial  lines and shading were really bugging me and I was about to throw it away and try starting over with a clean sheet of paper, but instead I posted a picture of it on my Facebook page indicating that I would post each step in the drawing until it was done. By backing myself into a corner telling everyone they could follow along while I worked, I had no choice but to slow down, fix the problems and not give up. Persistence and attention to detail paid off….and I even saved a sheet of paper.
