Jim Stevens, our scrimshaw master, has created a monochromatic graphite drawing entitled “Biafra” which just won the Special Recognition Award at the national judging for the Veterans Creative Arts Festival. There were nearly 1900 artist entries and his piece was the one selected to be on display at the National VA Art Show in Boston, MA later this year.

The national show will be in the Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House on Friday, October 12.
