What to do when the heat goes out.

While painting this African leopard the week before Christmas, an arctic cold front dropped down from the north and the space heaters in my studio couldn’t keep up with the -24 degree cold. But I was in such a great space mentally with this piece that I just didn’t want to quit painting so I put on an old snowmobile suit and kept working. Wore the suit for two days until the temperature rose and then finished in normal attire on Christmas day. Sometimes your passion just takes over.
